Fog Drip

Fog Drip, originally uploaded by ParsecTraveller.

The last photo from my recent redwood day-trip...

Redwoods are interesting because they capture fog moisture and cause it to drip down into the forest understory. It's what makes the ferns grow big, and what can soak unprepared hikers (like myself)...

I always love a foggy morning when Mr Chiots and I out camping/backpacking. If I have a cup of steamy hot coffee, I'm in heaven!

That is a beautiful pic, with the tall trees. very beautiful. I hope you didn't get too wet.

Nice photo, is it taken at 10mm or 18mm? Looks like it was taken with a ultra wide or fish eye lens.

This photo was taken at 18mm with the Canon 18-55mm IS lens. It's amazing to think what 10mm would look like!

wow, good framing. You could seriously mistake this for being taken at a much wider angle.

Love the angle and texture of this capture. The tone of green foliage is very soothing.
