Cloudforest

Cloudforest, originally uploaded by ParsecTraveller.

Rainy weather brings mist to Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, California. This is a great park, full of huge trees, lush ferns, and a flowing creek.

Nice photo's. Are your waterfalls flowing now?

Hi Dan! Thanks for the comment. Sadly, no, the waterfalls are not flowing yet. Although we just had some rain, it came after a three-week period of record warmth - temps got into the 80s. So, when the rain did come, the soil absorbed it because it had become dry. Now that the soil is wet again, it will be easier for the waterfalls to flow if and when a big storm comes. We need a storm that drops at least 2-3 inches of rain for the creeks to really start flowing.

To bad they are not flowing yet. I have been waiting to see some new photos of the beautiful waterfalls you have in your area.

I have been to a couple falls here, most are frozen solid. I have yet to get any good shots of them though. Maybe the next visit will turn out better.
